KID'S MINISTRIES
YOU BELONG HERE AT PPUMC KIDS
In our Kids Ministry, we strive to create a nurturing environment where children (birth through 5th grade) and their families can encounter God’s love and grace and grow in understanding how to live as faithful disciples in their everyday lives.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
WELCOME TO PLYMOUTH KIDS
The hope we have for our Children’s Ministry is to provide children (birth – 5th grade) and their families the opportunity to experience God’s love and grace, and to identify ways that they may live as faithful disciples in the world.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
TIMES THAT WE MEET
NURSERY-INFANT CARE
Nursery care is available for infants through children age four. Care is available for Sunday School and all worship services. Special event childcare is by reservation.
BREAKFAST CLUB
Children in Pre-K through 5th grade gather each Sunday from 10:00–10:45 am for Breakfast Club — a fun and welcoming time created just for them. Kids begin by visiting their very own Kids Kitchen to grab breakfast before diving into engaging stories, interactive activities, and meaningful conversations that help them grow in faith and friendship.
Breakfast Club is designed to be a place where children feel known, valued, and excited to learn. New friends are always welcome, so feel free to invite someone to join the fun!
Throughout the year, we also host special events such as VBS, Kids Club, Trunk or Treat, Easter Trunk Hunt, Parent’s Night Out, and more — creating even more opportunities for connection and community.
If you have questions or would like to join our amazing volunteer team, contact Krista at kbailey@ppumc.org. We would love to serve alongside you!

KIDS CLUB- Wednesdays
6:30-7:30
Children in Pre-K through 5th grade gather each Wednesday at 6:30 pm in Kids Club for an energetic, hands-on hour designed just for them. This is a space where kids can laugh, explore, create, and grow — all while building friendships and deepening their faith.
Each week features a different theme, including Sacred Science, Kids Can Cook, Bible Adventure, and Creation Station. Through engaging activities like interactive science experiments, exploring different spaces around the church, creative art projects, and learning foundational kitchen skills, children experience meaningful lessons that connect faith to everyday life.
Kids Club concludes at 7:30 pm. After-care is available until 8:30 pm for families participating in Bible Study, Choir rehearsal, or with siblings in the Youth Program. Children may remain with our Nursery staff during that time.
Everyone is welcome — and friends are always invited!
WORSHIPING TOGETHER AS A CHURCH FAMILY
At Plymouth Park United Methodist Church, we believe worship is one of the most powerful ways faith is formed — and we believe that formation happens best when generations gather together.
When children worship alongside parents, grandparents, and other adults in the life of the church, they learn what it means to belong to the body of Christ. They see faith modeled. They hear prayers spoken over them. They witness community in action. These shared moments shape a faith that lasts.
Moment for Children and Families
Each Sunday during worship, children are invited forward for a special Moment for Children and Families. Through story, conversation, and hands-on activities connected to the day’s message, kids engage Scripture in ways that are meaningful and memorable.
This time is not only formative for our children — it is a joyful reminder to our entire congregation that the church is alive, growing, and rooted in the wonder of young faith.
Worship Engagement for All Ages
We intentionally create space for children to participate fully in worship. At the entrance to the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, families will find worship resources such as books, coloring materials, and quiet building activities.
Our heart is simple: children are not just the future of the church — they are a vital part of the church today. And together, we grow in faith as one family in Christ.
